Notice period - Check your agreement to see when and how much notice is required. Leaving early could mean a termination fee. However, in these situations we can sometimes help negotiate a contribution towards the cost involved.

Transfer date - Once you've agreed terms with your new provider, they'll approach your existing factoring or invoice discounting provider for a reference and agree a transfer date. When the agreed date arrives, the new provider simply 'buys' your sales ledger from the existing provider and you proceed with the new funder.
